Vehicle Licence Plate and Registration
Services provided by our Alberta Registries office are vehicle (including off-road vehicles) and trailer registrations/renewals, veterans licence plates, parking placards for person with disabilities, intransit permits, address changes, cancellation of registration, lost or stolen plates or tabs, and imported vehicles.
Drivers Licence
Alberta has 7 classes of operator’s licences. In order to obtain an operator’s licence you must meet identification and residency requirements. For these requirements please visit www.servicealberta.gov.ab.ca
Knowledge Testing for all 7 seven classes of operators licences is available to be taken at our office between 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Paying Current Fines
You may pay fines for moving violations (ex. speeding tickets, photo radar) at our office.
Drivers Abstract
You may obtain your drivers abstract from our office, which will show the last 3, 5 or 10 years of your driving record. It will show your licencing status as well as any violations and demerit points.
How to Obtain a Drivers Abstract
ALBERTA :
Bring a Driver Abstract Consent to a registry agent office. If you want to designate someone else to obtain your abstract for you:
- Fill out the Driver Abstract Consent form; give it to your designee
- The person must fill out the Driver Abstract Statement of Intent form, and bring both (the Intent and the Consent forms) to a registry agent office.
- Finally, she/he can obtain the record from the office and mail or fax it to us, or request it be mailed directly from the office.

To obtain a Driver Abstract, SGI requires a written request from you providing your full name, date of birth and Saskatchewan driver’s license number and signature.

Fax requests can be made by sending a copy of two pieces of identification to the Driving and Vehicle Licensing office at 867-873-7487.
